New hot process (and cold) soaps for Soapa! Featuring: Man Swirl

Find us at the Etsy link to the right and on Pinterest. All of my soaps are small batch hand milled so no two soaps are exactly alike and will have imperfections. Also, you may have to shake the lotion as it too is all natural. Small price to pay for luxury beeswax lotion - am I right!? (yeah, i'm right)
Man swirl is cold-process soap with activated charcoal. Detoxifying.

Yellow Calendula petals inbedded in the soap create a luxurious bath experience.

Swirls for men soap has activated charcoal and looks like a hunk of asphalt. However the soap feels as smooth as silk on  the skin and face for shaving. The soap smells fresh and clean. Bright like the morning sun and the bathroom light upon awakening.

I call this soap "Clown." This soap reminds me of the circus clowns. It has a strong fragrance profile. Fresh.

Stonehenge Soap

Re batch w/ BCOw/Sulfur  soap added.
I re batched yesterday, soap scraps and a few hunks of CBO w/ sulfur. Needless to say the CBO colored the whole pot of soap and stunk to high heavens because of the sulfur. Well, I added fragrance X2 but still had to rub fragrance on each bar and ball. The fragrance soaks in as the soap cures. I cooked it a very long time and added tea and water to get a smoother appearance. Re batch soap is usually very rustic in appearance if it is not re-hydrated. It is clay-like on the inside and crumbly around the edges. It is very cleansing and moisturizing. Castor oil is good for the skin.
Since the soap is just for us to use around here, it's okay about the smell. Black tea infused Castor oil is a hair remedy I make but after, there is a lot of tea soaked Castor oil left behind so I make soap out of it. Next time I will not put sulfur in the whole batch, just the amount I will use. Sulfur is good for the skin in that is anti-fungal. Our bodies need sulfur as we excrete it every 12 hours, I read.
The soap is cut to fit my hand. It never occurred to me to cut it larger for bigger hands. Also, when I
unmolded the soap, parts of it crumbled and broke so I rolled it into soap balls rather than put it in the re batch pile. We will use this soap in the kitchen and for baths. I put some small crumbs in the sink and when I washed my coffee cup it got squeaky clean. (some of my soaps are too oily for that)
Thanks for reading my post. Don't forget to click "like" and remember to buy some soap!

$3 Handcrafted soap for sale locally at AmeriGas at 15th and Broadway

Watermelon soap available at AmeriGas, 15th and Broadway, Gary, Ind.
This is just an end piece leftover from the loaf. (photo credit: Leslie McCloud)
Anyone wanting to try natural soap can stop by AmeriGas at southeastern corner of Broadway and 15th Avenue in Gary, Indiana. It is across the street from the Plasma Bank, adjacent to the hand car wash, catty-korner from the post office on 15th and Broadway. (yeah, I said it.) The sign is white, red and blue.

My soaps will also be offered for retail sale at Beautiful Things in the Village but I have to wait until the soaps I made yesterday and cut this morning, dry. It takes a week. They last longer if they are dried before use.
The owners at AmeriGas and Dr. Vernon Smith—owner of Beautiful Things—have agreed to display my soaps. Please ask for homemade soap and everyone there should know what you are speaking about. The soap costs $3. It was suggested my price point and market for luxury spa-quality soaps was misplaced. I heeded the advice and formulated an economically-priced handcrafted soap. Spa-quality soap is still for sale on this site.
I put coconut and olive oil in my soaps. The soap featured at the AmeriGas has bits of watermelon inside the soap. It smells wonderful and lathers beautifully. It will not leave your hands dry but moisturized and clean. The FDA says I cannot say that on my soaps. The agency said the product is to be labeled "soap" and it is up to me if I want to list ingredients.
I also have lotion for sale but until I am completely sure of the FDA rules regarding lotion (considered a cosmetic) I will wait to offer that product for retail sale. Feel free to contact me about it, however. I make liquid soap, soap paste and soap. I will not offer any product for sale with sulfur in it so if you purchase the Black Castor Oil it will have home made onion and garlic extract as the recipe calls for instead of sulfur. Products that have sulfur in them have a different set of FDA rules and I don't feel confident of my ability to understand how to register my hair product as a drug. So... here are the photos!
